We all know how hard it can be to find exactly what you’re looking for when it comes to home furnishings. You stroll around a store or poke around online hoping to find that perfect piece. And aside from the hunt, another frustrating feeling is how much furnishings can cost! Enter Wayfair.com. If you’ve never visited Wayfair for home goods and furniture, you’re missing out. It’s the Google of the home furnishings world. Type any combination of descriptive words in the search bar and you’ll have so many home decor and furniture options at your fingertips.
In my galley-style kitchen, I have small nook with bay windows at one end. It was a challenge for me to decide what to do with the space since it’s not big enough for a small table and the area has the only heat register for the kitchen. I didn’t want to cover the vent and I didn’t want the space to feel cramped and cluttered.

So, as I often do, I turned to Wayfair. I found the perfect solution: a small writing desk. With the “x-leg” design and a width of just over three feet, the desk is not only modern, but keeps an unassuming, airy feeling in the small kitchen nook. There’s a drawer to stash any unsightly items and cubby shelves on either side of the desk for additional storage.

I paired the desk with this slim profile chair from Target. If I’m being honest, it’s not the world’s most comfortable chair, but I liked the contemporary look of it and how its minimalist shape didn’t add any significant volume to the small space. The matte black color also compliments the matte black hardware on the cabinets and drawer pulls in the kitchen. Speaking of hardware, I switched out the chrome knob that came with the desk and used one of the cabinet knobs to keep the look consistent throughout the kitchen.

The best thing about Wayfair is that there are so many options. You can filter your searches by price, dimensions, color, wood type, etc. If an item is out of stock, you can enter your email and Wayfair will notify you the second it’s back in stock. Another great feature is that you can create lists on the site and save items to your various lists when planning a project. I created the list below when planning out my master bedroom.

From now through February 19th, Wayfair is having a HUGE Presidents’ Day sale. Almost everything is up to 75% off and there’s free 2-Day shipping on orders over $49. If you’re in need of anything for your home and you’ve been unable to find that perfect piece, this is the time to check out Wayfair. This is not a sponsored post by any means; I just love Wayfair and wanted to share this amazing sale with you! Happy shopping!
