February: Out & About

Candle holders styled by my mom!

For this month’s fun finds, I found myself inside of a store that I never go into anymore – World Market! My mom and I were doing a little shopping this past weekend and we stopped in our favorite home decor stores: Target and Homegoods. But, there’s a World Market in the same area and we thought, why not? Sometimes I find that World Market can be a little too boho and exotic for my taste, but I found some super cute finds. And who doesn’t love a home goods store that sells alcohol and hard-to-find overseas candy?!

Plant found here. Similar planter found here.

World Market has great faux greenery. I loved the look of this faux fiddle leaf fig. The quality was great and the planter it’s paired with is equally as great. I was drawn to the modern look of it with its skinny brass legs. The faux fern in the navy and white planter is also adorable. I think it would look good on an outdoor table. I may have to go back and buy it so I can be ready whenever the warmer weather arrives in Ohio!

I still can’t get enough of large woven baskets. They can be used for so many different things: blankets, plants, toys. World Market had a great selection of baskets in different sizes and colors. I would definitely check out their selection if you’re looking for an affordable basket option.

These planters are gorgeous! I love the small, geometric vase with the gold accents. If you haven’t noticed, I have a thing for white/gold! What I like about the small planter is that you could drop a small faux succulent inside or actually pot a real plant. The larger terracotta cement planters are also versatile. How cute would these look indoors with a large faux banana leaf plant or outdoors filled with colorful flowers? Love!

I was immediately drawn to this live edge coffee table. I like the mixture of the warmth of the wood and the industrial modern touch with the black metal hairpin legs. I’ve seen a lot of live edge tables trending for decor lately and I’m in total agreement!

Light found here.

The beading is so fun on this lighting fixture but the neutral color makes this funky light work with a variety of decor styles. I think it would look perfect in a breakfast nook, nursery, or over a dining table. I have been lusting after a similar light from Pottery Barn, so I was excited to find this one. While not cheap, the World Market version of this light is much more affordable than its pricey Pottery Barn cousin.

Tell me the colors of these little bowls aren’t beautiful? The blush pink and dove gray are so soft and muted. I don’t necessarily know that I’d buy the full dining set (although World Market does sell it) because I think it would be a little much, but I would definitely scoop up a couple of the bowls to use for entertaining in the Spring!

World Market has a great selection of elegant soaps and lotions. I love the glass bottles and the lettering on the labels. While I enjoy a Bath and Body Works soap as much as the next girl, their packaging isn’t always the chicest. These are a much cleaner and less kitschy option.

I’m usually loyal to Rugs USA for almost all of the rugs in my home, but World Market had some really cute rugs. The texture and pattern of this rug is verging on a little too boho for my taste, but I had Spring on the brain while I was shopping and could envision this outside under a grouping of patio furniture.

Speaking of outdoor furniture, I was really digging these chairs. The olive nautical rope fabric was unique and I thought it looked great with the light colored wood. World Market displayed the chairs with a large mahogany outdoor table and I thought the rug I linked above would look great underneath.

Finally, this cactus print just spoke to me! I don’t know if it was the colors or the print itself, but I loved this. I’m not entirely sure where – if anywhere – this would work in my home, but if you have a space for this in yours, head to World Market and snag this. The frame is a brushed gold and the print itself is canvas. Again, I clearly had warmer weather and outdoor living on my mind while roaming World Market!

It’s always fun to revisit a store that you haven’t been to in a while. I also didn’t realize what a great selection their website has, too! I’ll have to add World Market into my home decor shopping rotation!

xx, bk
